The Vocational Services Division offers meaningful employment and training to all residents of The Baddour Center. The Division's philosophy is that through excellent employment opportunities and training, Baddour residents provide excellent service to corporate customers. Residents enjoy earning a paycheck, and compensation for all jobs is set in accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor and either meets or exceeds established guidelines.

Baddour Custom Packaging is comprised of two vocational complexes, known as the GoodWorks Complexes.  This is based upon Ephesians 2:10 – "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."  Baddour Custom Packaging provides top-notch service to its customers, including Fortune 100 companies.

The Horticulture Program provides employment in wholesale and retail settings.  The Baddour Garden Center  serves the community and earns income for The Center. Additionally, service positions are available in Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping, Fleet and Facilities, and Food Distribution.

Residents participate in regular work programs, VOCARE, or community employment. The Center also provides day employment to persons in the community.

The Mission of VOCARE is to provide a Person-Centered approach

  • To assist residents in determining their vocational potential, strengths, and limitations
  • To assist residents in using that knowledge to make vocational choices
  • To assist residents in acquiring training to make vocational choices a reality
